We are not a clinic.
Nobody at iboga.africa administers medicine, diagnoses anyone, or bills for treatment. We are the people who read the files, visit the facilities, and tell you which of them we would send a family member to.
Treatment is delivered by an independent South African provider, under South African law, on their licence and their liability. We take no commission from any of them, which is the only reason our shortlist is worth reading. If that arrangement is not what you are looking for, the rest of this site will not change your mind, and it should not.
The treatment is three weeks of it
Row height follows real duration. Read the operator column. Responsibility changes hands twice, and both handoffs cross a border. Those two rows are the part nobody else publishes.
Preparation
Records requested, ECG and liver panel arranged locally, medication taper planned with your own prescriber, two calls with the coordinator who will stay on your case. This is also where we tell you if you are not a candidate.
Screening file, ECG, bloods and taper record transfer to the provider physician, only after you approve the release. If they read the file and decline, we do not overrule them.
If it does not complete, the referral stops here and responsibility stays with us. You keep the full screening file in your own name, and our preparation fee is refunded less third-party costs already incurred, meaning lab work and imaging. No provider is introduced, no dates are held, and no deposit is ever requested before this row clears.
Treatment
Intake, medical clearance repeated on site, dosing under continuous cardiac monitoring, then supervised rest days before anyone travels. We are not in the room. We are on the phone, and so is your named family contact.
Discharge summary goes to the clinician who will see you in your own country, arranged before you fly out rather than after. A provider who discharges you to an airport is not on our list.
If it does not complete, the provider holds responsibility until a named clinician has the summary in hand, and we do not close your file. You keep coordination at no further cost while we place you. If we cannot inside fourteen days, the integration fee is returned in full and we say so in writing. Discharge is not the end of anyone’s obligation.
Integration
Twelve weeks of structured aftercare with a practitioner near you, weekly at first. The flight home is where most of these journeys fail, so this phase is longer than the treatment itself by a factor of four.
